Events Marketing Intern
The Event Marketing Intern will lead or assist with a variety of events, advertising, promotions, sponsorship and public relations activities. Rooftop Comedy is launching a nationwide event series among 32 colleges and universities in search of the funniest stand-up comedian and comedic short filmmakers. The internship offers the opportunity to gain real experience in all aspects of event execution and management as well as direct, hands-on experience across a variety of marketing and promotional disciplines. While the focus will be on event execution for the National College Comedy Competition, the intern will also have opportunities to enhance their skills with online and interactive marketing.
Candidates should have:
- Past experience in marketing and/or events promotions
- Be highly organized, with demonstrated examples of past project management experience
- Superb writing skills
- An interest in stand-up comedy
- Proficiency with MS Office applications; some HTML or Photoshop experience a plus
- An ability to travel occasionally throughout the internship
- Must be a team player, communicate well and work effectively in partnerships with internal departments and outside companies
Internships will last a minimum of 12 weeks and may be either full-time (40 hrs. / week) or part-time (20 hrs / week). Opportunity for full-time employment for the successful intern. Recent college graduates with some marketing experience or MBA students encouraged to apply.
